What is an Accident at Work?

A work-related accident must have occurred by an activity carried out under working conditions, causing physical harm. The accident could have been avoided if protective measures had been followed by the employer; this is also known as Employers Liability. Employers have a duty of care to fully train their employees, and to provide them with the correct personal protective equipment for use while carrying out their duties. The accident could have been caused by insufficient training provided, inadequate machinery, faulty equipment or PPE, unregulated site conditions or mishandling of hazardous materials.

If you have had an accident at work that happened within the last 3 years and are suffering with an injury, you could be entitled to compensation.
